Ireland!

Wow I feel like we have packed so many activities into the past two days that we have already been in Dublin for a week!

I hardly slept on the plane so I am glad I am still functioning so well haha! The flight was fine and we landed around 8:00am Dublin time and started our day right off the bat!

We are staying at the Times Hostel which is right across the street from trinity college. We walked all around the beautiful college and then to St. Stevens Greens. We took a photo on the bridge we think was in the the movie Leap Year with Amy Adams! From there we walked around Grafton Street and stopped at a bar called Davy Byrnes for lunch. From there we walked and stopped into a church where a man was having his piano recital. A nice place to sit for awhile before continuing our walking.

From there we stopped at the Dublin Castle and then went to the Guinness Storehouse and got the official tour plus you free pint of Guinness, I have to say not all of us here are Guinness fans...

Then for dinner we stopped at the Brazen Head which is the oldest pub in Ireland for dinner.

After a long first day we were all so tired and decided just to walk back to the hostel and crash for the evening.

Today we took the Dart to Howth which is a fishing city by Irelands Eye. It was lovely! We took a long walk along the cliffs and stopped at The Summit Inn for lunch. By then we were all ready for a break it was over a 6 mile hike on some rough terrain. I am so glad my back is holding up well otherwise I would have missed the wonderful view! We also walked to the Howth Castle and then stopped at the Bloody Stream and I tried my first Baileys Irish Coffee! I really liked that drink!

Tonight we are headed out on a musical pub tour in the Temple Bar area! It should be lots of fun!

View from the cliffs of Howth!
